Corporate Membership
The IISS’s Corporate Membership programmes links the Institute to business leaders, as well as key government agencies from an array of countries. The IISS offers a range of Corporate and Institutional Membership services to allow companies and organisations to select for themselves how involved they wish to be in the Institute’s work and events. Corporate Patron Membership
This category is intended for leading global companies and institutions, who seek the closest relationship with the IISS and the visibilityof such an association. This level of corporate membership is geared towards global players seeking to network on the highest level with government, business leaders and other global corporations. Corporate Patron Membership offers exclusive accessto the IISS through priority invitationsto major IISS international events. To stay on top of international developments an exclusive access to private briefings and to the Corporate Advisory Panel has been designed. This service taps into the very heart of the expertise of the IISS membership and staff to allow Corporate Patron Members to discuss and receive personalised and private briefings on security, foreign policy, political, economic, commercial and technological issues.
The annual £50,000 fee entitles Corporate Patron Members to:
- all the benefits granted to Premier Corporate Members, plus ten staff licenses;
- to use the IISS Armed Conflict Database, a unique, interactive resource of detailed material on more than 70 conflicts around the world;
· priority access to the bespoke consultancy services that can be provided by Arundel House Enterprises Limited
- priority invitations to small, exclusive events, such as VIP lunches or dinners;
- receive five briefings a year (depending on format) on key security, foreign policy, political, economic, commercial and technological issues by accessing the expertise of the Institute’s staff and our Corporate Advisory Panel;
- opportunities to participate as "Friends of the IISS" at both the Institute’s major international events: the Asian “Shangri-La Dialogue” and the Gulf “Manama Dialogue.”
Executive Corporate Membership
This category is intended for leading global companies and institutions, who seek a very close relationship with the IISS. Executive Corporate Membership offers exclusive access to the IISS through priority invitations, IISS international events, and access to private briefings and the Corporate Advisory Panel, a service that taps the expertise of the IISS Membership and staff to allow Executive Corporate Members to discuss security, foreign policy, political, economic, commercial and technological issues.
The annual £25,000 fee entitles Executive Corporate Members to:
- all the benefits granted to Premier Corporate Members, plus five staff licenses;
- to use the IISS Armed Conflict Database, a unique, interactive resource of detailed material on more than 70 conflicts around the world;
- priority invitations to small, exclusive events, such as VIP lunches or dinners;
- receive up to four briefings a year (depending on format) on key security, foreign policy, political, economic, commercial and technological issues by accessing the expertise of the Institute’s staff and our Corporate Advisory Panel;
- opportunities to participate as "Friends of the IISS" at one of the Institute’s major international events: the Asian “Shangri-La Dialogue” or the Gulf “Manama Dialogue.”
Premier Corporate Membership
This category is intended for companies, with a turnover of less than $100 million, who seek a close relationship with the IISS, in particular through exclusive invitations and access to private briefings and the Corporate Advisory Panel. This level of membership is also open to governments and institutions.
The annual £10,000 fee entitles Premier Corporate Members to:
- nominate up to five representatives to the IISS;
- receive up to five sets per year of the following Institute publications: The Military Balance, Strategic Survey, Survival, Strategic Comments and the Adelphi Papers series. Each set of IISS publications has an annual cover price value of approximately £700/$1,200;
- receive invitations to the Institute’s meetings, seminars, and the Global Strategic Review (delegate fees not included);
- receive invitations to exclusive IISS lunch and dinner meetings addressed by leading figures from the public and private sectors;
- access the IISS Library;
· receive two briefings a year (depending on format) on key security, foreign policy, political, economic, commercial and technological issues by accessing the expertise of the Institute’s staff and our Corporate Advisory Panel. Briefings can be delivered in person or by video-phone;
- have priority access to IISS facilities to book meetings, briefings, conferences and video-conferences;
- have access to the bespoke consultancy services that can be provided by Arundel House Enterprises Limited.
Basic Corporate, Government Ministry and Agency Membership
The annual £2,000 fee entitles Basic Corporate, Government Ministry and Agency Members to:
- nominate two representatives to the IISS (further nominees may be added for £500 each);
- receive two sets of IISS publications;
- receive invitations to IISS meetings, seminars, and the Global Strategic Review (delegate fees not included);
- receive invitations to occasional events exclusively for Corporate and Institutional Members;
- access the IISS Library.
Non-Profit, Institutional and Embassy Membership
Colleges and universities, academic departments, libraries, embassies and high commissions may become IISS Institutional Members. This category of membership is not open to others, however, non-profit organisations may choose to join the Institute at one of the higher levels of membership offered.
The annual £1000 fee entitles Non-Profit Institutional and Embassy Members to:
- nominate one representative to the IISS (further nominees may be added for £500 each);
- receive one set of IISS publications per year;
- receive invitations to IISS meetings, seminars, and the Global Strategic Review (delegate fees not included);
- receive invitations to occasional events exclusively for Corporate and Institutional Members;
- access the IISS Library.
