03 Dec 08 - Discussion Meeting - Major General Muniruzzaman

On Wednesday 3 December 2008 Major General Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (retd.),President, Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS), Bangladesh will speak on ‘Bangladesh Elections & Prospects' from 12-1pm.

 
Major General Muniruzzaman (retd.) is the Founder and President of the Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS), Dhaka. As a senior officer of the Bangladesh Army, General Muniruzzaman served with the United Nations in different conflict zones as an experienced international peacekeeper.
 

The Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) is a non-party, non-profit organisation and independent think tank devoted to studying peace and security issues related South and Southeast Asia. The Institute seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and policy analysis within the context of Bangladesh and other countries of South and Southeast Asia.   
 

This meeting will be Chaired by Rahul Roy-Chaudhury, Senior Fellow for South Asia and will take place on the Fourth Floor at Arundel House,13-15 Arundel Street, Temple Place, London WC2R 3DX.
