The 4th IISS Global Strategic Review took place in Geneva, from 8–10 September 2006. Within the theme of 'New Thinking on Conflict and Peace', the Institute’s signature three-day conference covered some of the major issues of international security including insurgency, proliferation, terrorism, conflict management and major power relations.
The Global Strategic Reviews are the successors of The International Institute for Strategic Studies’ (IISS) annual conferences for members. The goal of the Global Strategic Review is to offer an opportunity in plenaries to senior officials to make major policy statements on important strategic issues and to provide through the break-out groups a sampling of the Institute’s leading research and analytical work on current strategic problems.
Events took place at The InterContinental Hotel 7-9 Chemin Du Petit-Saconnex, Geneva 1211
