The IISS-US is pleased to serve as an “embassy” for Individual and Corporate Members of our London office. Uniquely among organisations dealing with international foreign, security and defence policy, the IISS Membership now extends into over 100 countries. The Membership consists, among others, of current and former policy-makers, officials and diplomats, military personnel, academics and experts, business leaders, and journalists and commentators. Our Membership base is a lively intellectual, professional and indeed social network. Members are not a passive body, but instead are encouraged to engage us active by taking full part in our intellectual mission and strategic direction.
For Members, The IISS-US organizes speaker events, assists with publications, processes dues payment and assists with a variety of other tasks. Specifically, the annual benefits of Individual Membership include:

publications: six issues of Survival, approximately ten Adelphi Paper monographs, all 50 Strategic Comments topical briefing papers, The Military Balance audit of armed forces and defence trends world-wide, and Strategic Survey, our annual assessment of word affairs;
