Internship Opportunities in IISS-Asia
IISS - Asia is seeking full-time and part-time volunteer interns to support its operations (administrative tasks, research support, event and media management) in Singapore from the first quarter of 2009. Each stint may range from three to twelve months, and will in general correlate with the commencing quarters of the year due to the timing of our projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We can only consider candidates who are able to fulfil a minimum duration of three months.
Requirements:
You should
● be a graduate student in Political Science, International Relations, Strategic Studies or History
● possess an excellent command of spoken and written English
● be proficient in basic computer skills such as MS-Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and in performing internet searches
● be eligible to enter Singapore
Your application package should comprise:
● A cover letter, specifying dates of availability
● Your curriculum vitae (resume)
● A writing sample of no more than 1000 words on a subject relating to international security
● Two letters of reference, at least one of them from a faculty member who has taught or supervised you
