IISS purchased Arundel House as its headquarters in 1997. Situated in the centre of London overlooking the Thames, it is ten minutes from the government buildings of Whitehall and Downing Street, five minutes from academic centres such as King’s College and the LSE, ten minutes from the banking and financial institutions of the City, and only a minute away from the BBC at Bush House. Temple Tube station is at its doorstep, and the rail stations of Waterloo and Charing Cross are in walking distance.
Arundel House Enterprises
The Institute has a wholly-owned trading company, Arundel House Enterprises Limited (AHEL), which covenants its profits to the Charity. The scope of AHEL has developed to include a range of business opportunities on behalf of the Institute. Its primary activity is to manage usage of the facilities at Arundel House, which may be rented when the Institute does not require them.
As a venue, Arundel House benefits not only from its Central London location but also from the high-quality interior decoration and the state-of-the-art technology available to clients.

These clients regularly use the facilities for conferences, presentations, and for social uses including receptions, lunches and dinners.
